The Malerweg

The most traditional hiking route through Saxon Switzerland is the "Painter's Pathway" (Malerweg). Following the footprints of famous artists such as Caspar David Friedrich or Ludwig Richter, poets like Hans Christian Andersen and writers like C. H. Nicolai, hikers see places which, 200 years ago, already inspired to works of art now known all over the world.

If you are interested in an individual guided hiking tour, the hotel reception will be pleased to inform you about the numerous possibilities.

On the following homepage you can find detailed information about the Malerweg http://www.malerweg.de.
